FISHING UPDATE & SCHEDULE THROUGH FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND

"W-I-D-E O-P-E-N" BARRACUDA ACTION
The last 7-10 days of fishing has been a lot of fun for those who have gone on the 3/4 Day trips and some of the 1/2 Day trips since the Barracuda have really wanted to cooperate in our local waters. Some of the 1/2 Day trips have also produced good numbers on Sand Bass, Calico Bass, and several Halibut.
For the remainder of the week and for Father's Day, we have (2) 1/2 Day trips available every day aboard the "Western Pride". Due to the fact that it's Father's Day weekend and the popularity of this weekend's trips, advance reservations and payment will be required for the trips. The trips leave daily at 6:00 AM and again at 12:30 PM.
On Thursday and Friday the "Freelance" will have regular 3/4 Day trips and on Saturday and Sunday the "Freelance" will run Limited Load, Extended 3/4 Day trips (less folks, for better fishing conditions, and more fishing time!). If you've ever fished Barracuda, lighter loads are a blessing. The trips leave at 7 AM on Thursday and Friday and at 6:30 AM on Saturday and Sunday. The "Caliber" will run a regular 3/4 Day trip on Sunday.
Twilight trips are scheduled every evening, leaving at 7 PM on the "Freelance". While we haven't had the appearance of the Sand Bass yet, that's bound to happen real soon; all eyes are on the Huntington Flats area for their arrival! In the meantime there have been rumors of a few GIANT SQUID being in the vicinity. We'll be looking for those every evening in addition to the Sand Bass.
Shark! Shark! Shark! They're here and biting. The last Shark trip aboard the "Caliber" ended up with (1) Mako (80 lbs) landed, a larger one (150 lbs +) lost at gaff and (4) Blues caught and released. We have a trip scheduled for next Saturday (June 21st) leaving at 6:30 PM. Call the office for details and to make reservations.
